After sunset, the stunning Intuit Dome lights up to become part of the night sky over Inglewood. The diagrid geometry of the building resembles the swoosh of a basketball scoring through a net. This architectural embodiment of motion, the grace of the Clippers, the empathy of the team members, the excitement of the audience, and the venerable culture of the Community of Inglewood; these feelings all form the inspiration for these six animated artworks.
The Artwork's colors reference the City of Inglewood, the Clippers team emblems, ocean waves, and the sky. The imagery conjures light dappling through trees, clipper ships, and the invisible forces of wind, water and gravity. I make art because I am fascinated by the incorporeal in nature and science. If anything, this is a consistent current in my artwork. There is so much more in the universe than what we sense and feel; I believe we are surrounded by sentience in all lifeforms, this is a belief that is part of our DNA going back to our ancestors. I use the tangible invisible forces in air and the uncanny forms and motion in nature to communicate this with my animation.
