I came across her extraordinary botanical collages in the museum publication Mrs. Delany & Her Circle, published for exhibitions at Yale Center for British Art and Sir John Sloan's Museum. I used AI searches to cross-reference the geographical cities of Dior stores with the naturalized locations of flowers used in Mary Delany's collages. To date, I have made Paris/gallica roses, Osaka/plum blossoms and Milan/ox-eye daisies. There is a lovely connection over centuries between Dior's haute couture embroidery and Delany's exquisite embroidery for her personal ball-gowns. Part of the Collections:
