Description: A virtual image of cloth falling reveals an invisible surface beneath the cloth. I thought it was interesting that something that does not exist can reveal a surface you can not see. For greengrassi, I wanted to create a figure and a waterfall of cloth for the space. I used the title The Invisible Man because I kept remembering the 1933 film, The Invisible Man based on the H.G. Wells novella from 1897. In addition, one naturally considers the famous 1952 novel Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison, the chronicles of a black man's racist experiences. The book begins with the most incredible description of the invisible man's home-made lighting consisting of hundreds of lights.
