Description: While watching a Cowboy Western, I heard the phrase dance hall girl referring to a woman who worked in a saloon; this seemed like a pretty peculiar label for a woman. A dance hall girl was considered a fallen woman, dressed in scandalous outfits and bright colors. Dance Hall Girl consists of small high-definition video projections of flowers dancing; projected in a lit room.
